THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN
When I created Bodega Nights, I wanted to capture something that people see every day but don’t always stop to appreciate.
The neighborhood bodega.
You might stop in for a drink, something to eat, or just a quick conversation. Nothing fancy. But there’s something special about those little corner stores. They’re part of the neighborhood’s character.
I kept thinking about what those streets look like after the rain. The red lights reflecting on the pavement, the warm glow coming through the windows, the cars parked along the curb, and the feeling that even late at night, the neighborhood is still alive.
That’s what inspired this design.
And if you look closely at the storefront, you’ll see a small neon sign that reads MOOD. I put it there intentionally because the whole scene represents a feeling, not just a location.
I wanted this shirt to remind people of those familiar places that might not mean much to someone passing through, but mean everything to someone who calls that neighborhood home.
That’s what the MOOD Series is about for me—turning everyday moments, places, and feelings into something you can wear.
